Both versions of firmware listed below can serve a different purpose when it comes to programming your ESP Modules. Bill's Version of firmware first came out with the first versions of the ESPixelStick and the Renard ESP. This version of firmware still proves to be beneficial to some depending on what type of device you are trying to control. Shelby's firmware has and continues to be under development with beta releases coming out quite frequently. The current release version of his firmware is the ESPixelstick 3.0 Release (As of 1/13/2019).
