Supported ESPixelStick Platforms

ESPixelStick Version 4 supports a large and growing collection of ESP8266, ESP32, ESP32-S3, ESP32-C6, Ethernet-enabled, and community-designed controller platforms.

A platform definition identifies the processor, development board, GPIO assignments, peripherals, and other hardware-specific settings required to build ESPixelStick firmware for a particular controller.

According to ESPixelStick lead developer Martin Mueller:

"ESPS V4 supports a lot of platforms. We may have as much as 0.05% of what's out there."

This page summarizes the currently supported hardware platforms. General information about ESP8266 and ESP32 hardware is available on the related hardware pages.
